My London – Part V

I love London! ❤

Welcome to the latest in “My London” series.

A walk along the South Bank is a relaxing and fun experience for any visitor to London. The Southbank Centre, located of course on South Bank, is an arts and cultural centre. It is home to various festivals, art galleries, special exhibitions, musical events ranging from classical to rock music, dance performances and even a library. This all encompassing cultural centre spills out from the Southbank Centre, Hayward Gallery and Royal Festival Hall, onto the South Bank itself which runs along the south side of the River Thames.

Walking along to South Bank, you immediately notice the artistic ethos of the area… even the lamp shades are quirky! The path is filled with wonderful street performers, sweet treats vendors, a skate park, pretty mini-gardens, restaurants, and some of the most magical views London has to offer. It is no coincidence that the London Eye is located here.

Here are some of the photos I took during my recent Sunday stroll along London’s South Bank.
